Cage Diving with Great White Sharks in South Africa

Stormline Sales Director, Regan McMillan recently visited South Africa on business and took the time to go Cage Diving with the Great White Sharks near Cape Town.

Regan described it as an excellent experience and quite unlike he was expecting. From all accounts the sharks were fairly passive, although fairly well fed from the nearby seal colony. In total he saw 5 Great Whites of varying sizes from 2.5m to 4.5m. One did get a little bit animated though going after some bait and bit into the diving cage.

Pacific Marine Expo 2011 - Seattle, US

Sales Director, Regan McMillan recently attended the Pacific Marine Expo in Seattle over the the 17 - 19 Nov. During the show Regan met with a number of Stormline Distributors and users. The show was a great opportunity to catch up with a number of people in one location. It also provided encouraging feedback from end users of Stormline gear. Below is a photo of Regan (on right) and John Reardon, General Manager of Hercules SLR (US) based in New Bedford, MA.

662 Flotation Bib Field Tested

The flotation bib is shown with the Armour 220 Jacket and also with rubber boots. You can see the advantages that the velcro snaps on the Bib and adjustable neoprene cuffs on the jacket make to increase buoyancy.

New gear coming soon and Photo Competition

Over the last few months we've been listening to what fishermen want in their gear. One of the big things is of course everyone wants lighter rain gear. To that end, we have been working to roll out some new models. In particular is our new 674 Armour Bib which will be available soon through our Canadian East Coast Distributor, IMP Marine and in the UK through Marineco. We're pretty positive about this product and always look forward to feedback from our users.

You may have seen that we are running a photo contest as well. We'd love to get some great pictures from you in action on the seas. We also have some great prizes, so get your images in!
