999ST Heavy Duty Waterproof PVC Apron with Elastic Braces

The 999ST is a heavy duty waterproof apron built from 650gsm oil-resistant PVC — the same material as our Crew foul weather gear. At 1.2m long and 90cm wide it covers chest to below the knee, and the 38mm elastic brace system with rear plastic divider means it goes on and comes off in seconds, with nothing to untie.

Built for oil, fat and cold

Most aprons sold as waterproof are light vinyl or coated polyester. They crease, then crack along the fold lines, and they degrade where oils and fats sit against them. The 999ST uses the heavy duty PVC formulation from our foul weather range, chosen to stand up to the oils and fluids of the fish and food industries. Our PVC is tested to −25°C, so it stays flexible in chillers, cold stores and winter yards instead of stiffening and splitting. At 0.7kg it’s substantial without being stiff, and it hoses or wipes clean at the end of a shift.

Which apron do you need?

The 999ST is our heaviest at 650gsm, with elastic braces for fast on-and-off. If you’re fitting out a team, the 999HW Industrial & Commercial Fishing Apron is 500gsm with PVC ties at $30. For parlour work where you carry the weight all shift, the 999HWST Dairy Milking Apron uses an X-strap harness to spread the load across both shoulders.

Who uses it

What size is it, and will it fit?

One size. The 999ST is 1.2m long (47 in) and 90cm wide (35 in), which covers from chest to below the knee on most adults. The 38mm elastic braces adjust at the clips, and the rear plastic divider stops them sliding off the shoulders. The 999ST is a fixed size and cannot be cut down — if you need an apron you can trim to fit, choose the 999HW above instead.

Will it stay flexible in a chiller or cold store?

Yes. Our PVC is tested to −25°C. Light vinyl aprons stiffen and crack along the fold lines in a cold room; the 999ST stays supple, which is why it holds up in fish processing halls, meat chillers and winter parlours.

How do I clean it?

Hose it down or wipe it clean at the end of a shift. Do not machine wash or tumble dry — heat and agitation break down PVC and shorten its life. The oil-resistant surface means fats and fish oils rinse off rather than soaking in.
