The 999HW heavy duty PVC apron is made from 500gsm PVC and is designed for commercial fishing, food processing and commercial use, such as for general cleaning including cheesemakers, butchers, fishmongers, brewing and dog washing.
This heavy duty PVC apron is made from our 500gsm heavy duty PVC which is oil resistant so it will withstand the oils from fish or animals in food preparation. This also makes it ideal for kitchen environments where abrasion resistance is essential and for dairy farms in milking parlours. The heavy duty PVC apron, like all of our foul weather gear, is designed with special polymetrics to withstand the oils and fluids used in the fish industry as well as for use as general industry waterproof rain gear. It is ideal for wearing over any clothing wear for for combining with one our commercial fishing bibs.
The apron is a simple design for practical use made from one piece of PVC with stainless steel eyelits and sewn PVC ties around the neck and to tie around the body. It is comfortable and light enough to wear for extended periods and durable to be long lasting as well.

As well as the many additional features that help to keep you safe and comfortable, the materials we use are also vital to the construction process for our clothing and gear. We use high-quality, heavy-duty PVC for all of our foul weather clothing including fishing jackets and fishing bib & brace pants.
We use PVC in our products as it is durable and strong. Most PVC fabrics are made of a polyester, cotton or nylon backing which is coated with flexible plastic. PVC is a very stable fabric, which makes it perfect for hard work in all kinds of weather conditions and industries, and it is fully waterproof and resistant to a lot of different conditions. The knitted fabric backing helps keep your gear comfortable as it provides a quick-drying and moisture-wicking layer below the waterproof plastic. PVC can also be layered for extra warmth and is easily cleaned.
Our PVC is also oil resistant. This is essential when working with foods or fluids that are acidic and will crack or delaminate the PVC otherwise. Our PVC is 500gsm that is the right balance of weight vs durability such as working in the food processing where you are standing for extended periods.
